This review is a bit 'long breath. Skip to the bottom just for the pros and cons. Or, read on to waste 10 minutes of your life.
In the last 5 years, I used a 58 "Panasonic plasma TV. It's not a bad TV, but not the greatest either. It 'was only 1080i, it has become hot enough fast (which made the room warm and the air conditioned on football too often), and the sizes were weird (I watched entertainment centers that would fit a 60 "TV, but TV still would not fit.). I felt an upgrade was in order.
I ha

Web Sites on Web sites, magazines, books, inputs from different people, vendors trying to sell different things depending on which shop you went to, etc. I have narrowed it down to one of the many high-definition TVs from Sony or Samsung C or series D. After narrowing it down to those 2 brands, has been a little 'easier. I went to about 4 different Fry's Electronics and 7 different Best Buys to check it out in different situations. After that, it fell to UN55D8000 (boy, I remember the numbers). To make the decision easier, I was searching on Amazon, and to my amazement, it was for $ 500 less than everyone else, plus free shipping. Score!
With free shipping, it usually takes a little 'longer. I would say that from the time of the order, until it was at my door, it took about 1.5 weeks. He was released from the house directly, the United States of America and had no problems with delivery. They were going to set up the TV, but I told them not to, from my entertainment center was as yet unknown. I opened the box, put the TV on a soft cloth (our bed comforter) and installed the stand. Eight screws, a piece of cake. I connected the receiver DirecTV and a PS3. There are some settings you set in the beginning when the TV lights. It takes about 2 minutes, literally. After that, the fun begins! Going from 1080i to 1080p is a huge difference! I had a recording of Chuck on DVR and it seemed almost alive. I've also seen some regular satellite programming as well as the non-HD channels looked amazing.
After cleaning the drool on the floor, I wanted to see the 3D part of the TV. I popped in the free copy of Shrek 3 ° in the PS3, put on his glasses and waited to be amazed. Apart from the amazing colors, looked exactly like 2D! WTH?! Then, I remember reading somewhere that the PS3 actually play 3D movies, but with an update. I waited about 30 minutes, in the end. After that, load the DVD again, and there was the movie with the funky 3D image. Hey wait, I have the 3D glasses, I see why. Oh, oops. Batteries must be installed in the glasses. Finally! The 3D image was fantastic! Seriously, watch TV in 3D is amazing. `I can not wait until there are more 3D media. As it stands now, the only true 3D films are either documentaries or cartoons, with the exception of some movies regularly (ie Resident Evil, Step Up 3, etc.)
I just created last night, so I can not give you a whole lot more information. But even if I had more time, I do not think I can give you the detailed specifications that can be trying. I am not an expert in home theater. Here is an overview of the pros and cons:
PRO:* The lack of a large bezel really makes the difference. Not only aesthetically, but in terms of functionality, too (best view 3D. It looks like you're looking through a window.).* The images are spectacular. Whether it's regular programming, HDTV programming, or Blu-Ray.* Price on Amazon was very good!* The delivery was painless.* A lot of setting options, so you can set the TV to your preference and the scenery of visualization (eg movies, standards, etc.)* Watch movies in 3D is amazing! I just wish that Panasonic does not have exclusive rights on Avatar.
CONS:* SmartTV is a cool feature. But, not a necessity. I really doubt that I Twitter Facebook or on your TV without any problems.* Audio is not great, but it is adequate. I was not expecting much from a flat-screen television.* He did not come with the touch screen at a distance as it should be the case earlier this year.* They must post the good (or register on-line) in order to get 3D glasses. It is true, you do get a starter kit with this 3D TV, which has glasses, but those glasses are a little 'different batteries and usage. In addition, you must submit to obtain your free copy of Shrek Forever and Megamind. I should not complain, though, since these are free.* It needs a more detailed manual on how to use most functions. The manual has a very thick, but just because it's the same thing in different languages.
Sorry for the long review. There Yelpers write a lot of nonsense words, is not it?
UPDATE: After playing around with the TV a little 'over this weekend, I noticed that the top of the screen had a few flickers of light (about where the frame meets the screen and was about 1 / 16 "high and if went almost all the TV altogether. I hope that is not the "light board.") AND 'only that on some channels on DirecTV. most of the channels were fine and Blu-ray was fine. I think it's either the receiver or, eventually, the HDMI cable on the cheap. I have a Monster cable M1000 series coming later this week, so I turn it off and update.
In addition, we talked about everything online about people who have trouble matching the remote control. I had zero problems and it did about 5 meters away from the TV.
One last thing, a free 3D glasses in the kit does not seem to work. I changed the batteries and nothing. Then, the next morning, I tried again, this time turning off the bluetooth on my phone, and it worked. If this had an effect on it, I do not know. But, I thought I'd throw that out there.
BTW, this weekend, I saw and played MLB2K11 Tangled in 3D on PS3 ...... WOW! I must admit, I liked it 3D, but I thought it was just a novelty. No way. 3D is very different than when we had those glasses blue and red. Change the whole experience.
UPDATE # 2: You must not do anything to get the line went. It 'just went away one day.

Also, I finally 3D glasses from the good that's on TV. Unfortunately, the 3300S is not the 3700s I continued to see the people at CES. I will not beat the low rating, but are a little 'disappointed that the glasses and the remote control that were advertised earlier this year did not come with the unit, and even through the mail. In addition, the magazine for the glasses is $ 199! No thanks. I'll just upload it via the USB cable.
